The RDA wants to congratulate Paul Valteau, Jr. on winning his 7th term as Civil Sheriff for the Parish of Orleans. The Reserve Deputies Association will remain active. New applications are NOT being accepted at this time.

Jesse Bridges, our new chief Santa, informs me that he and all interested Santas and elves will meet each Wed. at 6 pm at Pampys (except for the Wed. before Thanksgiving) restaurant located in the 1700 block of North Broad near St. Bernard Ave. to dicuss the activities of the group. He has big plans and is asking all to assist in giving or getting stuffed toys for them to distribute. Also need ed are locations for Santa appearances! The RDA will assist in the costume and toy expenses. You can contact Jesse at 458-4948 and his email is jessebridges@aol.com. Another reminder is Operation Mardi Gras will activate right after Christmas so think about that as a project!

Deputy Chief Craig McGehee is looking for more deputies to be in the Uniform divison. Call him at 615-2222 or 679-5350. To join you must take a psych test, qualify with your weapon with major Kitchen and agree to extensive training. You donate 150 hours a year towards the program with 6 months probation. In return you get a uniform, and office radio and the fun of being in uniform. Call Craig to see if this is the place for you!
